Competitive basketball for experienced players seeking to develop and compete at a higher level. Teams combine structured practices with games against outside competition while developing individual skills, team concepts, decision-making, and game understanding. Evaluation and team placement are required.

MAPSO WINTER Teams - TRAVEL / COMPETITIVE
GRADES 3-8 | GIRLS/BOYS | INT/ADV LEVEL | MMS GYM
This intermediate to advanced travel program for 3rd–8th grade offers competitive play in the Jersey Basketball League (JBL). The program emphasizes skill development, offensive playmaking, tough defense, and game strategy. Players are selected by tryout, with beginner-level players in younger grades encouraged to participate. Teams practice 1–2x/week, with away games typically 20 min to 1 hour of travel required. Grades may have multiple teams and all teams will be matched to league skill levels of Gold, Silver or Bronze.

SMY BUDDY BASKETBALL - UNIFIED & INCLUSIVE
GRADES K-12 | COED | ALL SKILL LEVELS | YMCA
An inclusive basketball program designed for neurodiverse athletes. Players are paired with volunteer buddies who provide support through adapted instruction, activities, and gameplay while developing basketball fundamentals, confidence, and social connections in a safe and welcoming environment.
